Kathryn Paige
Kathryn Paige is a senior lecturer in science and mathematics education at UniSA. Her research interests include pre-service science and mathematics education, action research, eco justice and place-based education.
David Caldwell
David Caldwell is a senior lecturer in English language and literacy education at UniSA. He is interested in the application of systemic functional linguistics to a range of language contexts including post-match interviews with footballers, medical consultations with hospital patients, and the construal of Asia literacy in Australian classrooms.
Katrina Elliott
Katrina Elliott is a project officer in science and mathematics education at the South Australian Department for Education, and completing her PhD. She is researching quality teaching and learning in science, mathematics and technologies curriculum. She is also interested in the transfer of learning through a transdisciplinary approach.
Lisa O’Keeffe
Lisa O’Keeffe is a senior lecturer in mathematics education at UniSA. Her research focus is mathematics textbook analysis, the role of mathematical language, numeracy and girls in STEM. Her current projects include the use of 360-degree video annotation in mathematics education, language in primary mathematics classrooms and assessment, water literacies and girls in STEM.
Sam Osborne
Sam Osborne is Associate Director, Regional Engagement (APY Lands) at UniSA. He has worked in Aboriginal Education since 1995 in a range of roles and as a Senior Research Fellow on the Remote Education Systems project within the Co-operative Research Centre for Remote Economic Participation. He currently teaches Pitjantjatjara language programs and is involved in research with a focus on Culturally Responsive Pedagogies.
Philip Roetman
Philip Roetman has since 2007 been involved in running innovative citizen science projects and events which have engaged thousands of citizen scientists in activities like counting koalas, tracking cats, spotlighting in rockpools, and recording bat calls. The data collected have been useful in understanding the distributions of species, the home-ranges of domestic pets, the management of abundant species, and the locations of threatened species.
David Lloyd
David Lloyd is a science and environmental educator with particular interests in futures education and transdisciplinary approaches to learning. He has worked in middle and senior secondary schools and in primary and middle school teacher education at UniSA where he is currently an adjunct research fellow in the School of Education.
Barbara Comber
Barbara Comber is a Research Professor in the School of Education at UniSA. She has collaborated on and conducted a number of research projects concerned with literacy development, teaching and socioeconomic disadvantage. Barbara has developed or contributed to language and literacy teacher education materials in a number of Australian states, the US and Canada.
Sandra Gosnell
Sandra Gosnell was research assistant to the Fresh Water Literacies project. Prior to her work at the university she was a primary teacher in New South Wales schools.
